I finally received the internship I've been pursuing at an Advertising agency in my area. Just when I thought all hope was lost for any professional artwork an opportunity finally arrives. It's been going well these past 6 weeks (7 more to go). They've had me 3d modeling most of the time which is great. Two models done for the job are posted here with more to come.
For the 4th journal update in a row I have to say the 3d character I've been slowly working on is still in a snail-crawling progress...but it will be done eventually. No expectations at all for it's completion at this point. I've actually considered maybe doing another comic book coloring for old-times sake, fun, and of course artistic benefit. That may happen, however I think I'll probably continue on in the direction of furthering my drawing fundamentals and then lead into digital painting (hopefully). The point is to be a better artist overall.
That leads me into my last point. I've been thinking about why I'm on DeviantArt. Not because I want to leave or anything like that but to have a purpose on here. After all I have a portfolio up on the CGSociety, I could redesign my own website and update it with all new works to get a job. So why DeviantArt with it's far more "casual" atmosphere as well? For one thing any feedback and exposure I can get is a plus, but more than anything I think it's the "art community" presence here. I believe that most every artist can benefit greatly from immersing themselves into the art community as much as possible. So with that said if there is anyway you know of that we can benefit from each other on here then by all means let's go for it I plan to do alot more commenting on other artists work from now on.

If it looks like a Duck, and sounds like a Duck, then it must be a Cow. Simple logic.

Announcing the 3G plan. I'm here to take your guns, god, and gasonline.
I loved your gallery and hope to see more X-men related art, because I'm a big fan of the comics!
Keep it up!
